Sleep Procedures Performed
The following is a list of CPT procedures that we perform as well as a brief description of the procedure. The first three procedures listed are night studies, while the last two procedures are day studies. All studies are monitored by a Registered Polysomnograph Technologist (RPSGT) for the complete duration of the study.

95810
Diagnostic Sleep Study
Polysomnography; sleep staging with 4 or more additional parameters of sleep, attended by a technologist

95811
CPAP Titration Study
Polysomnography; sleep staging with 4 or more additional parameters of sleep, with initiation of continuous positive airway pressure therapy or bi-level ventilation, attended by a technologist

95811
Split Night Study
Diagnostic study that splits into a titration study if an RDI of 15 or greater is reached after 2 hr baseline is achieved.

95805
Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
Daytime test consisting of a series of naps performed the day following a Diagnostic Sleep Study (95810). Performed on patients with symptoms of unexplained daytime somnolence. Study also used as a diagnostic tool for narcolepsy.

95805
Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
Similar to MSLT in that it measures daytime sleepiness. However, while the MSLT instructs the patient to try and fall asleep, the MWT instructs the patient to resist sleep.

NOTE:

The 95805 code is used for both MSLT and MWT.
